The Eve of Christmas

Cold shrouds
And fire banishes
Families and friends--crowds
Siblings' hostility vanishes
Singing together of joy
Laughing all in mirth
Before the dawn of getting a new toy.

The dawn that comes is of a Birth
The Birth of Christ most Holy
Years and years have we celebrated
The snow that the earth does not sully
On the morn of the Birth of He whom is elevated
Hand in hand, clasped tight:

We Join
We Sing
We Hope
We Love
We Pray

Together are we all
World around
Joined in spiritual and loving Might.



Random poem aside, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope dearly everyone has had a Christmas Eve spent with family and friends, laughing and learning and loving. I hope in the morning you all have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas Day.
